Teamwork Makes Yoga Therapy Work…

Our collaboration begins with a one-hour to 75-minute Zoom call. We will get to know each other, discuss any relevant history to help us co-create safe and beneficial yoga therapy sessions for you, go over your goals and reasons for coming to yoga therapy and talk about the practicalities of yoga therapy sessions.

I will begin to assess how yoga therapy could fit in with your needs through some targeted questions and discussion, and we'll have time for any questions you may have.

At the end of this first meeting, we will schedule your physical and breathing assessment. After our initial consult, I will take some time to synthesize my notes and impressions, and may reach out in between our assessment session with additional questions or initial resources.

What will we go over in your intake? Topics ranging from: your health history, sleep and other nourishment patterns, general energy and activity levels, work and social factors, environment, sources of stress and joy, a pain assessment (if relevant), information about other concurrent treatments with mental or physical health partners (if relevant), any referrals (if needed).

This session is more like a conversation, so you do not need to be in a space set up for movement.
